Painting through the Seasons: A Summer's Day at Leighton Hall
Join artist Elle for a relaxed and inspiring painting workshop set within the beautiful grounds of Leighton Hall.
This creative experience combines sketching, nature observation and floral painting, offering the opportunity to slow down, gather inspiration from the gardens and develop your own artwork in a supportive environment.
The day begins with an introduction to sketching techniques using seasonal flowers from Elle's own home-grown garden. Participants will explore different ways of observing and recording botanical subjects before heading outdoors.
We will then take a guided walk through the gardens, walled garden and woodland areas of Leighton Hall, gathering inspiration through observation, photography and optional sketching.
Returning to the Studio, participants will be guided through floral painting techniques including composition, colour mixing and brushwork. Following a lunch break, there will be time to develop a finished piece with individual support and guidance throughout.
This workshop is designed to be welcoming, relaxed and suitable for all levels of experience.
