Between the Seasons Walk & Painting Workshop
Between the Seasons is a gentle outdoor walk and painting workshop taking place in Memorial Park in early May, as spring begins to shift towards summer.
We’ll begin with a slow, guided approx 30-minute walk along the park’s paths, taking time to notice seasonal flowers, emerging leaves, colours, and small details in the landscape.
After the walk, we’ll gather to paint at the Memorial, using the observations and inspiration collected along the way. Please note that the Memorial area is reached by steps and may not be suitable for those who need step-free access.
This workshop is suitable for all artistic abilities and is designed as a calm, supportive space to slow down, connect with the park, and respond to the season through painting seasonal inspired flowers!
What to bring:
Comfortable walking shoes suitable for paths and hills
Clothing appropriate for the weather (layers and waterproofs recommended)
All painting materials will be provided.
Refreshments:
Refreshments are provided back at the Memorial, please feel free to bring your own water or drink if needed though.
Access & terrain:
The guided walk lasts around 30 minutes and follows established park paths
The park is naturally hilly, with some steeper sections along the route
Painting will take place at the Memorial, which is accessed via steps
As a result, this part of the workshop may not be suitable for those who require step-free access
Additional notes:
This is an outdoor workshop and will go ahead in most weather conditions
There will be opportunities to pause and rest during the walk
Suitable for all abilities, no prior experience needed!
